- Kohima War Cemetery – is a memorial dedicated to soldiers of the 2nd British Division of the Allied Forces who died in the Second World War at Kohima, the capital of Nagaland, India, in April 1944.
- Mokokchung – The Mokokchung district of Nagaland is where the famous Moatsu festival is celebrated. It takes place in the month of May every year and is organized by the Ao tribe.
- Mount Pauna – Mount Pauna is the third highest peak of Nagaland. It belongs to the Benreu range and offers you some of the most breathtaking and picturesque views you have ever witnessed.
- Kachari ruins – located in Dimapur, Nagaland are the set of dome shaped pillars. These pillars were constructed in 10th century during the Kachari civilization.

Facts About Nagaland
- Nagaland became full fledged 16th state of India on 1 Dec 1963.
- This state borders with Assam in northwest, Arunachal Pradesh in north and Manipur in south. It also shares international boundary with Myanmar.
- The capital of the state is Kohima and the largest city is Dimapur.
- The state is mostly hilly with “Mount Saramati” as the highest peak of Naga hills with a height of 3840 m. This mountain peak is shared with Myanmar and the mountain range forms a natural barrier to Myanmar.
- Nagaland is also referred as “Falcon capital of the world”.
Mithun (a semi domesticated bull) found only in north eastern states is the state animal. - Jhume(Shifting) cultivation is generally practiced in the state.
Mineral Resources of Nagaland – Coal, limestone, iron, nickel, cobalt, chromium and marble. - The Nagaland Sugar Mill at Dimapur has installed capacity of 1000 tonnes per day.
