The Income Tax Department has issued fresh summons to RJD Chief Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti and his son-in-law in a benami property case. The department has asked them to appear before it on Monday. Ms Bharti had appeared before the IT Department in June in connection
with the over 1,000 crore rupees benami property deals. She and her husband were questioned by the officials for over five hours in New Delhi. The department had also provisionally attached few immovable properties in the land deal case and tax evasion case.The department had raided 22 places in and around Delhi in May in connection with the alleged benami property deals involving the RJD chief and his family.
Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi had alleged that Lalu Prasad and his family were involved in corrupt land deals.
आयकर विभाग ने राष्ट्रीय जनता दल प्रमुख लालूप्रसाद यादव की बेटी मीसा भारती और दामाद को बेनामी सम्पत्ति मामले में फिर सम्मन भेजे है। उन्हें सोमवार को उपस्थित होने को कहा गया है। आयकर विभाग ने बेनामी सम्पत्ति मामलों में लालूप्रसाद और उनके परिवार के कथित रूप से शामिल होने पर इस वर्ष मई में दिल्ली और इसके आस पास 22 स्थानों पर छापे मारे थे।
भारतीय जनता पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता सुशील कुमार मोदी ने लालू प्रसाद और उनके परिवार पर भूमि घोटाले में शामिल होने का आरोप लगाया था।
मीसा भारती एक हजार करोड़ रूपये से अधिक बेमानी सम्पत्ति मामले के संबंध में जून में आयकर विभाग के सामने उपस्थित हुई थीं।
The Supreme Court today directed the Centre to inform it about the investigation on the aspect of conspiracy behind making of the bomb that had killed former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in 1991. The court asked the government about the probe, after one of the convicts in the assassination case claimed that the issue has not been properly investigated. A bench, headed by Justice Ranjan Gogoi, sought result of the re-investigation or further probe into the matter and fixed its further hearing for next week.
Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated on the night of May 21st, 1991 at Sriperumbudur in Tamil Nadu by a suicide bomber at an election rally. 14 others were also killed then.
उच्चतम न्यायालय ने केन्द्र से यह बताने को कहा है कि पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री राजीव गांधी की हत्या में इस्तेमाल बम को बनाने के पीछे साजिश की आशंका के पहलू के बारे में क्या जांच हुई है। न्यायालय ने सरकार से यह जानकारी हत्याकांड के एक दोषी के इस दावे के बाद मांगी है कि इस मामले की सही तरीके से जांच नहीं की गई।
न्यायमूर्ति रंजन गोगोई की अध्यक्षता वाली पीठ ने कहा कि या तो मामले की फिर जांच कराके नतीजा बताया जाए या इसकी आगे जांच कराई जाए। न्यायालय ने मामले की अगली सुनवाई अगले सप्ताह रखी है।
