भारतीय जनता पार्टी अध्यक्ष अमित शाह ने बिहार के मुख्यमंत्री और जनता दल युनाइटेड अध्यक्ष नितीश कुमार से एन डी ए में शामिल होने का आग्रह किया है। एक ट्वीट में श्री शाह ने कहा कि वे कल श्री कुमार से मिले और उन्हें जनता दल युनाइटेड को एन डी ए में शामिल करने का उन्हें निमंत्रण दिया था। जनता दल युनाइटेड द्वारा 19 अगस्त को पटना में होने वाली राष्ट्रीय कार्यकारिणी की बैठक में एन डी ए में शामिल होने के प्रस्ताव का अनुमोदन किये जाने की आशा है। जनता दल युनाइटेड के एक नेता से पूछा गया कि क्या उनकी पार्टी मोदी मंत्रिमंडल में शामिल होगी तो उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसा फैसला करना स्वाभाविक बात होगी।
The Uttar Pradesh government has set up a committee to ascertain the lapses in the deaths of children at the BRD medical college. Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Sidharth Nath Singh arrived in Gorakhpur to take stock of the situation at BRD Medical College Hospital where death of 60 children have been reported since August 7. The government has reiterated that those found guilty in the tragic death of children will face stringent action.

Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan today commissioned Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Shaurya in Vasco, Goa. ICGS Shaurya is an offshore patrol vessel designed and built indigenously by Goa Shipyard Ltd. It is fitted with advanced navigation and communication equipment. Mr Pradhan said, Shaurya will add to the pride of the coast guard and the country. He also acknowledged the engineering capabilities of Goa Shipyard Ltd and Indian Coast Guard's surveillance support to exploration activities by oil companies. ICGS Shaurya can carry a twin engine light helicopter and five high speed boats including quick response interceptor boats for quick boarding operations, search and rescue, law enforcement and maritime patrol. The ship is also capable of carrying pollution response equipment to combat oil spill contamination.
पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस राज्यमंत्री धमेन्द्र प्रधान ने आज आईसीजीएस शौर्य जहाज को गोवा के वास्को में भारतीय तटरक्षक बल को सौंपा। आईसीजीएस शौर्य को समुद्र में निगरानी के लिए गोवा शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड ने स्वदेशी तकनीक से तैयार किया है। ये जहाज उन्नत दिशा सूचक और संचार उपकरणों से लैस है। शौर्य बोर्डिंग, तलाशी और बचाव अभियान और समुद्री निगरानी के लिए दो इंजन वाला छोटा हेलीकाप्टर और पांच तीव्र गति वाली नाव ले जा सकता हैं। समुद्र में तेल बिखराव की समस्या से निपटने की भी इसमें खूबी है। श्री प्रधान ने बताया कि शौर्य से हमारे देश और तटरक्षक बल की गरिमा में और वृद्धि होगी। उन्होंने गोवा शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड की इंजीरियरिंग क्षमताओं और तेल कंपनियों की तेल खोजने की गतिविधियों में भारतीय तटरक्षक बलों की निरीक्षण संबंधी सहयोग की भी सराहना की। पेट्रोलियम मंत्री ने बताया कि गेल (इंडिया), गोवा शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड और भारतीय तटरक्षक बल हाईस्पीड डीजल के स्थान पर गैस को समुद्री ईंधन के रूप में प्रयोग करने के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर करेंगे।
